Scion and rootstock are selected from known source blocks with traceable history.

Traceability

The origin and health status of individual vines is recorded and available throughout every process in our system.

Virus Testing Regime

All budwood and rootstock blocks are PCR tested according to our testing regime for virus status. In addition all budwood is 100% ELISA tested every year. The testing regime along with our phylloxera free nursery utilizing sustainable management practices ensures the highest possible health status of grapevines.

Physical Properties

Only one Premium Quality Grade of vines is produced. System specifications have been developed with rigorous quality control for the highest physical specifications and grading standards. These ensure that all grafted vines meet our premium quality grade. Specifications cover all aspects of the grapevine including strong viable buds nourished from healthy shoot growth, a fully callused graft union that is strength tested at grading, straightness, length, diameter, large root mass containing high carbohydrate reserves and good root distribution.
