Ohau Gravels wins Gold and the trophy
It is exciting news indeed that the fledgling wine label Ohau Gravels won a gold medal and the trophy for their Pinot Gris 2009 along with the champion tropy at the Bragato wine awards held in Taradale in August.

Raspberry Plants
We recognise that there is a shortage of New Zealand grown raspberries and reports we have seen suggest that as a Nation we only grow about 50% of our national requirements. So we are thinking about growing nursery plants for growers.

Stanmore Farm gains SWNZ Accreditation
Stanmore Farm fully supports the Industrys thrust toward sustainability and the goal of 100% national accreditation by 2012. The nursery itself was recently granted accreditation and this covers the farms rootstock and scion motherblocks in addition to the grafted vine fields. For the nursery operation, sustainable practices include such elements as crop rotation, cover crops, mulches and monitoring.
